The house is sitting right on the cliffs of lava stone that enclose the little fishing port of Pozzillo, and from the house you go straight down to the sea from a little gate that you will find just before entering the patio. The property has been recently renovated and the restoration was carried out with a great deal of care and attention, rendering it extremely comfortable and very elegant, and the furnishings were also chosen with this aim in mind. The house is also equipped with heating and air-conditioning, satellite-TV, stereo with CD player, dishwasher and washing-machine. The large terrace, which looks over the sea, has been furnished both for sunbathing and for dining outside. The path down to the sea leads to a concrete platform that is shared with the owners of the house next door. Pozzillo is a particularly interesting town, still holding onto its old customs that you would normally only see in old prints from the 19th century - with the stalls displaying the fish caught the night before, and the fishermen mending their nets and cleaning their boats every day, all creating a surreal and relaxing atmosphere. Close to Pozzillo are several coastal villages where you can find excellent restaurants and tasty Sicilian cake-shops. Taormina is about 20 km away, Acireale 5 km and Catania 20 km. The slopes of Mount Etna can be reached in little more than half-an-hour by car.
